Early morning breakfast then an important briefing from the National Park rangers to prepare you for the great Gorilla sighting and trek. Remember to carry your supplied packed lunch and bottled water. Depending on where we find the gorillas, trekking time can be anywhere between 2-9hrs. With our experienced guides, the Gorilla sighting success rate is about 99 percent. You will then return to the lodge to relax and reflect on the incredible day you have just experienced.Time permitting you will have the option to take a community walk and visit the orphanage, hospital, curio shops, and do it Ugandan!

A Twelve Day Gorilla Safari that includes:

A visit to Murchison Falls, spending the reality of 'Day Dreams' where the legendary Nile River is forced through a narrow gap in a rock (only 7 meters [23 feet] wide), then ferociously and wildly plunging down 45 meters [147.5 feet], you will enjoy the crossing of the Nile River on a ferry, with the reward of spending the night at the luxurious Paara Safari Lodge or mid range Fort Murchison lodge.

Spend pleasurable time in the Murchison Falls National Park search for and spot an amazing variety of wildlife such as Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Leopards, Buffalos to name but a few. Take a boat cruise up the River Nile to the foot of Murchison Falls and witness the abundance of Hippos. Photograph the slink of crocodiles, then prepare yourself to be overwhelmed by the incredible profusion of bird life, which includes the stunning and brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks. Who knows you may witness a sighting of the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill.

 

                                                   

Drive to the Albertine Escarpment of the Great Western Rift Valley on the way to Hoima where you will stay overnight at the Glory Summit Hotel.

A guided tour through Kibale visiting the colorful and picturesque town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Toro kingdom, which rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon, "the Rwenzori Mountains". Take an evening stroll through Bigodi wetland in search of wetland birds and primates, where in your mind nothing else exist other than the world around you. Dinner and an overnight stay at the Mountain of the Moon Hotel.

Then onto the Queen Elizabeth National Park enjoying the pleasure of afternoon Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. See various primates especially Black and White Colobus Monkeys and many other wonderful African animals. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, with magnificent views of the National Park and its breathtaking lakes.

A game drive spotting various antelopes, hyenas and lion, not forgetting the magnificent array of wildlife in the savannah grassland.

             

 

 

An afternoon boat trip along Kazinga channel, where herds of Elephant and Buffalo are found drinking, bathing and playing along the shores of the channel, where the onlookers are an array of mind-blowing birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others.

Then make headway to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, driving through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park called Ishasha. Here we will enjoy lunch on the banks of the Ishasha River and look absorbedly for the famed Ishasha tree-climbing lions, then onto Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park home to the few remaining mountain gorillas. The prize not only being the mountain gorilla but the bird life and primate life in Bwindi is quite phenomenal, and there is an incredible variety of flora. Sleepover at the Ruhija Gorilla Lodge or Buhoma Community Bandas.

After breakfast and a briefing from the guides, you set off for gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. this has to be one of the most unique and heart warming activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. Time permitting, there will be an optional village walk, to see how the wonderfully friendly and hospitable local people live and work. Spend a night at the Ruhija Gorilla Lodge.

Murchison Falls and Budongo chimp trekking safari is for those that have the time to explore Murchison Falls for incredible game viewing, boat cruises and chimpanzee tracking.


Murchison Falls is located in the northern part of Uganda,
together with 748 square kilometres (289 sq mi) Bugungu Wildlife Reserve and the 720 square kilometres (280 sq mi) Karuma Wildlife Reserve, forms the  Murchison Falls Conservation area which is Uganda's largest conservation area.


The park is traversed by the mighty River Nile up to the Karuma Falls and spreads inland to the shores of Lake Albert. This national park should not be missed, as it is an exciting National Park to visit during your Uganda wildlife safaris.


Murchison Falls National Park has several vegetation types ranging from swamps, tropical rainforests of Budongo,
